A glimpse, on Sunday morning, of the Towns’ very lovely kitchen. I adore going to theirs for a meal - Kara is one of the best cooks I know, miles better than most cafes and restaurants. Today it was fluffy pancakes, crispy bacon and gallons of maple syrup. I brought some cloudy apple juice, Chris made us all almond lattes and we barely caught our breath for a good few hours, catching up and talking. Friends that are a blessing, that’s what.
They sent me off with rocket and eggplant from the garden, so I made a pesto and will be giving it a solid workout for lunches all this week.
