First Sunday at home and the last day before Christmas. I spent the morning watching old films with my mother and sewing these little dilly bags for the girls. I've been trying to make Christmas presents for my nieces since Harriet was born ten years ago, and I have to say, I'm running out of steam. Not the effort so much (though finding the time this year was a real stretch), but what to make? Their bird wings were a real victory, the woven placemats slightly less so (though they do keep them on their dressing table with all their favourite things). And then these hangers which I loved but barely lasted the year before they lost all their ribbon.
This little strong bags went in a new Baggu backpack each, all set for their trip to Japan in the spring.
