Working again, but I got home with enough left in me to try two new recipes, which is a blessed Sunday night in my book - it always eases my head. I went with a roasted kale salad from Alison Roman (though I subbed in pepitas for the pistachios because that’s what I had on hand), and a lemon and cold winter herbs’ spaghetti from Anna Jones. It was a lovely hour or so in the kitchen, in between sips of some nearly-gone riesling. I love the way these women cook - so simple, on-hand easy and seasonal. Things taste fresh and like they were just meant to be together. Happily, the leftovers mingled together well for lunch the following day.
