Closing in on my Sundays here, almost the end of the third year. How did that happen?
It was a pretty slow one here, breakky at a new local with a friend (Glider, on Kensington St near Central Park - beautiful ceramics and good strong lattes) then a wander home and a whole lot of downtime. I read the paper, unpacked some gifts, made an apple and ginger crumble cake from a new cookbook, then a big pot of spaghetti lentilaise (which was, I have to say, amaze) from the same book. I love diving right into a few recipes when I get something new, it gives me a good feel for the style of cooking. And this one had wonderful Sunday written all over it.
