Rainy but glorious. Melbourne being very much itself this past weekend.
What started as a cheeky weekender booked a few months back for Liz's birthday ended up as the best part of a week, full of beer and theatre and love and friends and quite a bit of natural wine. I stayed in Footscray for the first time and have to say, I'm coming around to the idea of the West. Between the theatre and the hot weather and the dark pubs and Ian making me laugh so much I cried, and afternoon wines with Victoria and lovely new friends, a long dinner at Neighbourhood Wine with Lil and just drinks upon drinks, I had quite a time of it. Over the top hungover yum cha with Liz, trying on silky dresses I had no intention of buying, whiskies and dancing to Dan Sultan, salty Asian breakfast and more and more rain. It was Melbourne at its finest and I can't wait to go back in the new year.
