Now this SUNDAY I remember.
My sister and Daisy came for the weekend, a couple of days of glorious cuddles with my favourite five year old, a swim at McIvers (the secret ladies rock pool as Daisy called it), a bit of shopping, a treat of a dinner at North Bondi Fish, more ice cream, and on Sunday a morning with family in the morning sun. Ham and egg rolls on the BBQ, pots of coffee, hot cross buns with butter and my grandmother just quietly taking it all in - all our silliness, grandchildren and three of her great granddaughters running in between it all, arguments over the paper and Joe falling off his bike and the dog trying for crumbs and it all pretty lovely.
After dropping the girls at the airport to head home to Adelaide I put the kettle on and made a strawberry cake and spent the afternoon laughing and catching up with my friend Victoria. A gold-star Sunday if ever there was one.
